R340 Windows Server 2012 not found H330 Driver

When trying to install Windows Server 2012 R2, when it reaches the part of showing the drive to install, it does not show any, and only shows to load the drivers. As much as I try to load the driver from the USB drive, it shows me the message "No New Device drivers were found ..." what other drivers should I load ?.

The controller shows me at the server startup the virtual drive, the model of the controller is the H330.

JordanBracho,

The first thing to look at is if the Windows Server 2012 is the R2 version, and that you have Xeon processors (as seen here). The reason being is that 2012 R2 is the only version of 2012 supported, with those specific processors. Pentium, Celeron and Core i3 are not supported with Windows Server 2012R2. If you do meet those requirements then this is the driver file that should work for the H330. Be sure to select if it is the 32bit or 64bit versions.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I am installing Windows server 2019, I'm experiencing the same issue for drive(s) not being listed where it should show the drive(s) to install windows.

Current Server state is: I have updated the lifecycle firmware and RAID is not configured.

and is it possible to install OS without RAID?

@Njoro007 , You are mostly seeing the issue because of missing driver. You can try to install operating system using Lifecycle Controller where you will not see driver issue as lifecycle controller carries required drivers for the server. You can find the steps in below link.

https://www.dell.com/support/article/en-us/sln129177/how-to-install-the-operating-system-on-a-dell-poweredge-server-os-deployment?lang=en

Which server are you trying to install operating system is it R340 with H330 only. I am asking this as this continuation of old post and I am not sure whether you have R340 only. If you have RAID controller you need to create a RAID before deploying operating system.

I created the raid and using the Lifecycle controller, no drive found during Windows 2019 installation.

for the poor unfortunate souls looking for an easy Windows 2019 Essentials install. Download the raid drivers for windows 2016, extract to a USB. Run the OS deployment, in windows installation browse to the drivers your extracted, under payload, select windows2016. You should see the drivers. Mine was for software raid s140. Windows Server 2016 64bit driver for PERC S140 Controller.
