R410 Disk failure predicted ST3600057SS

Hello,

i have failure predicted on my server on this disk. How can i find the correctly disk?

If i bought the correct serial number disk but not via DELL can i have problem?

Hello

Yes, you may have problems if you buy a Seagate ST3600057SS that is not Dell certified. The Dell Certified version of the disk uses Dell firmware. The two drives are similar, not the same. Whether or not unsupported hardware/software works in the server will be trial and error. Unsupported disks may produce warning messages and errors even if they work properly.

thanks. Where i can find this old disk? Have you some links? 

Can i use also different DELL certified disk? What type?

There are many Dell certified disks that are validated for the system. If you want to replace it with the same disk then get the part number from the disk. OpenManage Server Administrator is our tool for managing PERCs. If you view the disk details in OMSA it will have a PPID number. It is 25 digits and alphanumeric. Digits 4 through 8 are the part number.
