Are these Dell-certified drives? or are they generic/retail?

System and drive firmware and OMSA up to date? If everything is up to date and the drives are certified (the generics will often do this), then I'm not sure I have a good answer, and we'll have to see if the Dell guys have some internal knowledge of issues that might affect the link speed.
