R720 RAID 1 SAS HDD replacement

Hello We have R720 RAID1 server. Recentle one of the HDD died (PDR1001 fault) and we installed a new HDD which was absolutely identical to a faulty one (Seagate ST3600057SS). It seemed to me that the rebuilt started, at least the LED indication corresponded to that. But after the process was over the problem still there. The both status and activity LEDs of a new HDD permanently green, PDR1001 still there. This is my first experience with the RAIDs and Dell servers, system is in use and there is limited possibility to play with that. Please help.

Hello

I suggest that you make sure that the replacement drive is Dell EMC Certified. We use the same model number drives as manufacturers like Seagate, but they have our firmware on them instead of Seagate firmware. Non-certified drives may not work properly with our controllers. If you have an available slot then you can try the drive in another slot. You can also check the logs for more detailed information.
