Raid Arrays using two PERC H740P controllers

Question

Hi.   I just received some new Dell 740xd equipped with H740p.a & H740p.m, in what seems to be a 12/12 split configuration based on '780-BCDW : Unconfigured RAID for Dual Controllers (1-12 + 1-12)'.  Dell installed the OS disks on the first slots for each controller (Slot 0 & Slot 12). The intention is to have a RAID 1 dedicated for the OS. I search on the manuals and found nothing about this to be supported, so my question is, Can a RAID array be created with disks located on different controllers? Thanks. Victor Silva

Raid creation is only supported with the physical risks connected to single controller only. You will not be able to create virtual disk using physical risks across two controller.
