S2D on PowerEdge R440 (PERC H730P, 5 SSD MZ7KH480HAHQ0D3)
Hello.
We want to deploy S2D on the PowerEdge R440 (PERC H730P, 5 SSD MZ7KH480HAHQ0D3), but everything stops at the configuration check because of BusType: RAID. On the H730p controller, we change the mode to HBA, but the BusType remains RAID. Is it possible to change Bytype using this controller?
PS C:\Windows\system32> Get-Disk | select Number, FriendlyName, OperationalStatus, Size, PartitionStyle, BusType | sort Number | ft -AutoSize

ITDen,
The RAID controller card will still been viewed in RAID status even after changing the operating mode to HBA. We recommend that you use exclusively supported HBA cards for the respective server, such as part # DNKCW or J7TNV. Also for testing, could you see if this setting solves the issue:
(get-cluster).S2DBusTypes=”0x100″
After setting this parameter see if you're able to configure S2D on the H730p.
Let me know what you see.

Thx, after these actions, s2d configured.
On how many correctly work in such configuration on your view?
