Now in regards to the controller questions, the SAS 6/ir controller BIOS isn't accessible with the Ctrl-R command, but instead is a Ctrl-C. Also the SAS6/ir will only support Raid levels 0 and 1, and the question of the Perc controller is really if you are basing your decision on that of workload or money.
