T320 Step by Step Setup - Creating RAID 1 to OS Installation!
Dear All,
First of all thank you reading this, we just purchased a new Dell PowerEdge T320 Server for our (SMB) company with the standard specs.
Intel Xeon E5-v2 Processor
2 x 4GB Memory
2 x 2TB HDD (Hot Plug In)
Dual Power Supply (495W Each / Hot Plug In)
PERC h310 Integrated RAID Controller.
Now the question is I want to setup my new server with RAID 1 & want to install Windows Server 2008 R2 on it. I've done R&D from Dell Support Site and some other websites too, now getting more confused to where to start :emotion-42: I didn't even turn on the server yet :emotion-10:
Could anyone please tell me Step by Step Setup guide so I can configure my RAID 1 and then install the Windows Server 2008 R2 on it? As I've seen/searched here on community pages seen the same question asked by many but couldn't find Step by Step guide.

Dear Trish,
Thank you for your reply, isn't the PDF you provided is subjected/referred to "Microsoft System Center"? Correct me if I'm wrong isn't this different from Server 2008-R2 and/or Server 2012-R2 installation?
Secondly I'll take this opportunity to ask another question that; which is the preferred way to configure RAID 1 & Server 2008/2012 installation either
1) Manually configuring RAID 1 using System BIOS (Ctrl+R) menu then install Windows Server OS directly by the Microsoft Media? or
2) Using Dell Systems Build and Update Utility (SBUU) Media (Ver 7.4.0)?

Once again thank you very much for taking time to answer my query, I'm very thankful to you in this regard as suggested by you, I've gone through every single option available while booting and yes (F10) Dell LCC has saved me this time.
