T710 Support for Disk > 2TB
I was wondering if there is way to get the support for HDD with a size of 10TB on T710? For example, through firmware upgrade?
In my opinion, having a 2TB restriction on a server model looks very irrational, which is only 2x of the size of the disk on the laptop that I'm using to write this post now.
Thanks!

Hello
It will depend on the storage controller. There are storage controllers available for the T710 that support drive sizes over 2TB. The only controller I'm aware of that requires a firmware update to support drive sizes over 2TB is the H200.

You can find additional information in the controller manual.

Thank you for your reply!
As for the table provided in the first link, I wonder what are the capacity limitations of those marked as "max capacity per disk > 2TB". (Definitely that is not infinite, right?)
I tried to find the firmware upgrade package for H200. However, it says "Drivers and downloads for this device can be found with the supported platform". So I searched for T710's drivers/updates. I wonder by firmware update, do you mean this one?

Thanks!

The limit is theoretical, I'm not sure what it is. There are no drives currently available or available in the near future that will reach the theoretical limit.
No, that is not the firmware. The firmware is available on the system support page. Select the operating system and then put H200 in the keyword field. If no firmware is found then there is not an installation package for the selected operating system.

No.
We may have only validated drives up to a certain size, but that does not mean the controller is not capable of supporting larger drive sizes.

Thanks for your reply! However, I doubt that.
Somebody said that H700 has a limit of 4TB, is it true? (I'm not talking about using RAID)
