The driver detected a controller error on \Device\RaidPort0
Hi,
On windows events we get errors: The driver detected a controller error on \Device\RaidPort0.
We have PERC 6/i Integrated (Embedded) with the newest firmware and SAS 5/E (PCI Slot 1) with old firmware. Could this caused by SAS 5/E (PCI Slot 1)?
Also could it be caused by cable between Enclosure (Backplane) and PERC 6/i Integrated (Embedded) controller?
thanks

Natip,
Yes, normally this is caused from the driver or firmware being out of date on one of the controllers. What revision is the Perc 6/i's driver? As well as the SAS 5/e driver and firmware versions.
Also, what server is this happening on?

Perc 6/i firmware is new one, but SAS 5/e is out of date, anyway can SAS 5/e controller be cause of this error as it is not-raid controller?
could it be bad disk?
could it be bad cable?
thanks
