Hello.

We'll be glad to advise.  The S.M.A.R.T error can be viewed at the controller BIOS upon POST via CTRL-R. It is under the PD Mgmt column for physical disks.  Highlight each disk and see the right side of the screen for info on the error count. However, that's about all it tells you.

It is recommend to use the OMSA software to export the detailed controller log. The log file will be in the form of a text file and can be exported from the controller level's information configuration options. You can review the log for "BADLBA" (bad logical addresses) or other sense key errors.

Otherwise, the software will denote the failed drive upon reaching a certain limit of non-correctable errors in which the the drive will then be marked as PREDICTIVE FAIL to allow you to replace it before it goes offline causing a degraded VD.

Lastly, there is the built in diagnostics from the F10 USC.  Although, it will not show detailed drive errors, you may run the hard drive test accordingly for general failure analysis.
