Adding drive to PowerEdge with PERC H200
We have a PowerEdge with a PERC H200 and 2x 500gb drives mirrored.
I want to simply add a 4TB drive not in a RAID - just a spare drive for data. Can I simply plug it into the next open drive cable connected to the H200 without effecting the existing drives, or do I need to purchase 2 4TB SATA drives and mirror them?
If I can't plug it into the H200 can I use the onboard SATA controller (if any)?
