Are PowerEdge 2900s still under Dell mainstream support?

Just joined a company that has a bunch of rack mounted 2900s and I can't tell how old this model is and if our company can still put these servers under Dell tech support.  Thanks in advance

It was first available for sales in 2006.

Many 2900's were allowed to go to 7 years under warranty extensions, but even that will have expired for most of them, as they shipped between 2006 (late) - 2009 (early).

Look up the build and warranty dates on support.dell.com for them when you enter your service tag.

Hi,

Typically servers can be under warranty for up to 5 years from the order date. It is possible some 2900s are still under warranty but most are probably not.

Got it. So a follow up question.  Can you tell me approximately when Dell release this model?  I think you're saying that initial warranty could have been 5 years and some could have had their warranty extended but knowing when Dell released this model will definitely help.  Thanks in advance

one of the tabs on the support page is for warranty. Enter a service tag and you can view the ship date, warranty and original configuration. It will be time consuming as you have a 'bunch' to do but the info is available.
