Broadcom NetXtreme Family of Adapters, NetXtreme II XP Drivers

Question

I have a Poweredge SC440 to which I installed Windows XP (That's what my boss wanted installed), however, I can't find NIC drivers for it. Every time I search for the drivers it continues guiding me toward Server 2003 and nothing else. Has anyone else installed XP on these machines, and if so, what driver did you use for the NIC? Just noticed that the recommended driver is the Intel PRO PCI-E Gigabit Family of Adapters.  Still, I have not found an XP driver for this machine.

I finally found the packing list for this PowerEdge SC440 and saw what my NIC was:

430-0488

On board Network Adapter

Is it possible for someone to mention which NIC this is so that I can go search for the correct driver?

The driver that is made for Windows 2003 should work for Windows XP also.  I've done it in the past.  Give it a shot.       Use the package that is labeled as 'Hard-Drive'.  That package will be extracted to the hard drive.  In the extracted folder, you should be able to find a 'setup.exe' or 'autorun.exe'.  Run that and it should automatically detect which drivers to install.  It will also ask you if you want to install the Broadcom Advanced Control Suite.  It isn't necessary for most functionality but if you plan to add the adapters to teams or to add VLAN tags, then you'll need it.   Let me know if it works or not.

Didn't work out as we thought.  It asked me for drivers for Win 2000 or 2003 and didn't install them I'll keep on looking....Thanks anyway
