Can I install, 4GB RAM & 16GB RAM module, together in single Dell R710 Server
Hi,
I would like to know that can I install, 4GB RAM & 16GB RAM module, together in single Dell R710 Server?
Currenlty I installed 4GB RAM on 8 slots with 2 CPUs, - memory mode is Optimizer, - server role is VMware ESXi 5.0 Host.
I would like to increase the RAM with 16GB module - with the current memory configuration.
So in the above situation what is the best possibility kindly suggest me.

Adding a single 16GB DIMM would not be advisable.
Do you currently have 8x4GB per processor (for system total of 64GB), or 4x4GB per processor (for system total of 32GB)?
