Dell Poweredge Hardisk Replacement
we have a dell poweredge 1800 server with 3 hardisk with Raid 5. one of the hardisk has failed, could someone pls tell me whats the correct way to replace the disk.

You would simply remove the failed drive, wait a minute or so and then insert the replacement. The Virtual Disk "should" start to rebuild automatically, if not then go to the Raid Controller BIOS or OpenManage, and assign the replacement drive as the HotSpare. That is what you can do to rebuild the Virtual Disk.
