Dell Poweredge R230 RAC0501:There are no physical disks to be displayed.

Hi.

In IDRAC8 after all updade can not seen Storage information, error:

RAC0501: There are no physical disks to be displayed.

RAC0503: There are no out-of-band capable controllers to be displayed.

Controller S130.

Before the updates, it correctly displayed all the information. All recommended methods, reset settings, reconfigure the RAID, and disable the server. Did not give results. How can I fix it? Information about disk failures can now be obtained only by restarting the server in configuration utility . The utility does not work with this controller.

I am doing rollback but nothing to change>.

If you haven't you can try holding the i button on the face of the server to force the iDRAC to restart. This may fix it, but I would expect you to need to shut the server off, unplug it, hold the power button down for 30 seconds, then power up as normal.

Is OpenManage Server Administrator installed? If so, what output do you get from this command:

racadm storage get controllers -o

Now I see the s130 controller in OpenManage Server Administrator. But IDRAC still has the RAC0501 error. The resets, shutdowns, or changes in the firmware version not gave any results( the Problem is that I can't configure e-mail notifications in OpenManage Server Administrator when there is a problem with disks. I tested the problem with disks and didn't get any notifications about the extracted disk in my email, although other notifications work fine.

I'd look at this as a reporting error, then. In your first post you broadly listed some troubleshooting you'd done. If any of the steps I list you've already done, just ignore them.

I'd look at flashing the iDRAC firmware, either with a later version, or the same version (if you're already on the latest). Failing that, I'd shut the server off, unplug it from power, hold the power button for 30 seconds, then reapply power and power up as normal. If an iDRAC Service Module download is available for your operating system, you might try installing that, too. I've seen the installation of that help reestablish proper communication on a handful of support calls.
