E1410 Error after upgrading CPU to dual CPU configuration
Hello everyone,
First time posting here and looking for a little insight. I have a PE R610 that originally had an E5520 and 6 2GB DDR3 sticks of RAM. I purchased two x5670 and 6 more more 2GB Samsung DDR3 sticks of ram that match as close as I could get, they are the same speed just numbered differently on the stick. It is also worth noting that I upgrading all the firmware and BIOS when I acquired this server in November of last year.
When I got all the ram and cpus in I went to install and when I tried to boot up I immediately got the E1410 error, it is also worth nothing that I am missing the #6 fan (I have some on order) but I would not think it would prevent it from booting and throwing this error. I have tried changing the CPU to different slots and running one x5670 with both sets of RAM and it does post, it just will not post with dual CPU. Is there something I am missing? I tried both x5670s in single CPU and according the R610 BIOS they have the same model stepping of 06-2c-2.
All help is appreciated!

Antcg,
It may be an issue with the board, but I would start with taking the server to its Minimum to Post configuration. That is removing everything from the server, internally and externally, but the following;
•One power supply
•CPU1 and 2
•System board
•Heat sink for CPU1 for prevention of overheating
•One DIMM in A1 and B1
•Control panel
•Control-panel cable
•Riser card
If that doesn't work then try each CPU individually in CPU1 and a single dimm in A1.
Let me know what you see.
