RE: How can I exit the IPMI firmware update mode

Loveminds,

I would power down the server and reset the NVram jumper on the system board and see if that clears the issue. You can also try initiating a new update via the TFTP Flash interface using IPMItool. You can get details on this on page 15 of this guide- http://bit.ly/1hXEfY5

This is the current version of the BMC - http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER01674113M/1/PEC6100BMC133.exe

Let me know what you find.

But this Server is C6105, it's compatible with C6100's BMC?

On the second link I sent you will use the one that corresponds to the OS you have installed. What is the OS that is installed?

Also, when you did the restart, did you also do the jumper procedure for clearing the NVRam, or did you just restart it?

Try using ipmitool to do a BMC cold reset,

On a Linux box
$sudo apt-get install ipmitool
$ipmitool -I lanplus -H 77.77.77.77 -U username -a bmc reset cold

There are similar tools available on Windows.
