ISO to boot from to do blade updates

Hi,

I thought I may be able to boot a server from SUU_14.03.00_A00.iso, and do server updates, but it appears not.

Can someone pls give me the details of which iso to download that is ready to boot from (once attached via Virtual Media) so that I can update various model blades we have?

Thx very much,

John Bradshaw

SUU is not bootable.

SUU can be run from within Windows (and probably Linux).

SUU can be used as the repository for the SBUU firmware update process (SBUU is bootable).

SUU can be used as the repository for Repository Manager, which can create a custom bootable ISO for updating firmware.

I downloaded and ran the SBUU and realised why I hadn't used it in the last 3 years and had forgotten about it. Dell still have two mouse cursors running across the screen!! I find that unusable.

Yeah, if using it via Virtual Media, it's kind of annoying.  I usually mount the virtual media, but then use our KVM console over IP instead of the DRAC console.  It's obnoxious, but 'completely' unusable :)
