MTTF on PowerEdge Servers

Hello,

Could anyone tell me the MTTF on the PowerEdge line, specifically the R620?

Thanks,

I see no published MTTF or MTBF.

Besides, rather useless, as it takes in fixed parameter for measurement, which you would not be duplicating. Then the actual testing is rather short, it not going to tell you if a mobo has a component which will go out of spec only after two years, such as a capacitor with a small leak due to poor seal engineering.

Best you can do lookup reviews on google. If the motherboard was used in a previous series, look that up.

Mdoudna,

Currently there is no MTTF (Mean Time To Failure) testing that is done at the server level. Much of the MTTF testing in the past was performed at a component level. As pcmeiner had stated, it really wasn't useful due to the environment in which they were tested. Currently though the servers can be warrantied for the first 5 years, after that, based on warranty parts availability that can be extended.

Let me know if this helps.
