Memory and Processor Error After memory upgrade
HI
I have one R710 with 2 x4 GB memory . I upgraded that to 6 X4GB .Now total memory is 24GB with two CPU.
After that server gives memory and processor errors randomly

DIMM_B3 DDR3 - Synchronous Registered (Buffered) 4096 MB

Now i am getting processor 1 ierr. My bios version is 6.4.0 and two CPU (Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5620 @ 2.40GHz)

Hello
Your title states that you are receiving memory and processor errors. What memory errors are you receiving? CPU IERRs are not very helpful for troubleshooting. They just let you know an error was detected by the processor, they are not processor errors.
Since the issue started after installing new memory and you stated that you are receiving memory errors I would suspect there is a problem with one of the DIMMs. I would suggest that you troubleshoot the memory. Since the error was detected by processor 1 the issue is likely with a DIMM in the A lane.

thanks for your reply .
Now server is not giving any memory errors . Six months before the same issue happened .That time it shows memory error .Dell replaced motherboard and 3 Memory modules .in omsa log gets error "A PCI parity error was detected on a component at bus 0 device 20 function 2."

For Same Server i am getting the processor IErr.(1604),CPU1. i tried to swap memory from CPU 2 to 1 .But same error remains .
