PE R210/R220 HDD cage
Hi there,
My R220 didn't come (from eBay) with the left-hand side disk holder/cage, so I used the cage from the unused 210. Now I need to use both but cannot find the holder for any of 'em. Could anyone tell me the part number and/or a source to but it from pls?

Hello @SantanuDas,
I wonder if you mean the Hard Drive Carrier (some pictures attached). If so, the part number for a Dell PowerEdge R220 is KG7NR. I think you cannot buy it directly from Dell. But with the part number you should be able to find it in the Internet.

nope, not that one. R210/R210 II/R220 has a very different one, more of like a cage/holder. It looks like this:

Ok, I see.. Well the one that is in the documentation is a little bit different from your picture. Maybe the one you show me is for R210?
Please, look at the new attached picture. This is the HDD Cage 3.5 for the PowerEdge R220. The part number is 1C2XC.

Hi Diego,
Thanks for the reply. The one you sent me now looks like the holder for the 2nd disk, on the right-hand side, which also houses a slim optical-drive. I need for the one that sits on the left-hand side, like the one I attached the picture of.
R210, R210 II and R220 uses the near-identical chassis (with some very minor differences), FYI

Probably you can try search word "dell 5N28P uk", seems to be returning with some sellers, but I'm not sure if it works for you. We can try reaching out to sales, but that would take very long time to reach to a correct person internally.

Thanks for the suggestion, but still no luck really - either out-of-stock, or too expensive or extended waiting time. Could you try reaching out sales as well, to see if they can do any better pls? Looks like I have to wait anyway.

I recommend you to contact Sales directly as they will provide you local stock informaiton. You can directly contact them. In order to do so, go to our "Contact us" site. And select "Sales".
