PE R415 error: CPU Machine Chk
CPU Machine Chk: processor sensor, transition to non-recoverable was asserted
We have a PE R415(VMWare host) that is showing the above error. This system is currently running, but occasionally reboots, killing all the VMs on it. I'm guessing the error is related, but how do I fix it? It's running Vsphere 4, if that matters. Thanks!

Hi,
Is the BIOS up to date? Are there any other errors? A machine chk error could be system board, a pcie device, memory or the cpu.

Any way to tell what the BIOS version is without a reboot? No idea when the last update was. That's the only error on the LCD display...

It might show it in Vsphere, newer versions will ,not sure about version 4.
