PE2950 chassis swap
We have a failed PE2950 (RN50 A21 BIOS). Does anyone know the procedure for taking the drives out of a failed 2950 chassis, moving them to a spare 2950 chassis and booting them up?

If the controller hasn't failed, move the controller with the drives. Even though the controller supports drive roaming, I would mark the drives as you pull them and put them back in the same slots. If you are going to use the controller in the other chassis, when the server comes online, it will ask if you want to use the configuration from the controller or the drives; always choose the configurtion from the drives and then the server's OS should boot fine.
