Post code 63 Dell C6100

Hello,


I have a motherboard of dell C6100 with this configuration:

2*L5520

6*2Go PC3-10600R


When i put on the motherboard, i have acces to the ipmi (megarac) but i haven't anything on the screen, no boot, not bios.

I have on the MB a code with led : 63.

have you an idea?

Gizmo150,

What I would look at first is the slots the dimms are being installed in. With using only six dimms you will need to populate the Dimm 0 slot on channel A B and C. So that would be populating ONLY the slots with the white tabs. Is that the slots you were using?

If so then could you let me know the specific part number and I can check compatibility. Also could you confirm the BIOS and iDrac revision as as well?

Yes i use the white blank first with 6 dimms.

About the dimms:

hynix 2GB 2Rx8 PC3-10600R-9-10-B0 HMT125R7TFR8C-H9 T2 AB

i can test with other Nanya dimms but i haven't the ref here.

What is the BIOS revision on the server? Also, if you access the BIOS (F2) and then go to the Memory Settings and then to Memory Mode, is it set to Optimizer?

i haven't anything on the screen!! and the remote console, i just have acces to the ipmi thats all.

i haven't acces to the bios.

i have acces just to the ipmi, but if the bios is specified in it, i can tell you.

When you reboot and see the Dell splash screen, do you see a prompt for hitting F2 for System Services?
