PowerEdge 1400 (10/27/00 mfg) FAN replacement
I need to replace the FRONT and REAR coolings fans for this PowerEdge 1400 server.
The old fans (same for front and back) from this 1400 Power Edge server are:
DELL P/N: 0218A
92 x 92 mm square, 25 mm thick
Delta Electronics, Inc.
Made in China
DC Brushless
Model AFB0912VH
DC 12V 0.60A -F00
====
The Part numbers provided by Dell Support for the QUIET FANS were:
FRONT FAN: 8C152
REAR FAN: 7C219
===
I can remove the Dell Proprietary mounting brackers and housings for the front and back
of these standard sized fans.
What replacement fan shoudl I use to get a QUIET chassis (I am changing out the processor heatsink - larger)

Beatgr,
Those are the fans (8C152, and 7C219) you will need. I am not sure that there will be any availability through Dell, due to the age of the server.

IF not Dell, logon to Digikey.
Match up size, rpm, voltage and the number of wires, DB level same or (better if lower), ball bearings from any manufacturer, but link below gives exact model. Likely you will need small soldering iron/solder/tape to solder on connector. If you go Digikey order spare fans.
