PowerEdge 2900 Rack to Tower Conversion

I recently picked up a PowerEdge 2900 server that was supposed to be a tower, but it actually was a rack mount system (the seller used a stock photo of a tower...). In its application it needs to be a tower and be able to stand upright on the floor. I know there is a kit to make a 2900 tower rack mountable, but can I somehow reverse that? Is there a kit I can buy? Or is it something as simple as removing some screws?

Please advise..

Thank you all in advance,

Sam

There is not an actual "kit" to do the conversion that direction ... I would suggest checking eBay for people unloading their parts from the opposite conversion.  Given the age of the 2900 now, they may not be as prevalent on eBay as they used to be.

Couldn't find anything on eBay... do you know anywhere else I could try?

Thanks,

Sam

You'd probably need patience for something to pop up on eBay.

You could try places like xbyte.com, serversupply.com, or impactcomputers.com, but since there is not a "reverse kit", it is unlikely they will have one.
