PowerEdge T20 - BIOS Update: ME FW Update Failed internal Error 0x00002243
BIOS Versions after A06 fail to update Intel ME on T20 mainboard version A00.
ME FW Update Failed internal Error 0x00002243
This error occurs from BIOS A09 on up to the current version A14.
The UEFI update itself doesn't fail - it's just the ME.
The problem seems to be ignored now for over a year - is there any chance to get it solved finally?

I've had this issue myself too on about 25 Dell PowerEdge T20 Micro Tower Servers and resolved it with the following workaround below. This does not resolve the issue in updating the Management Engine Firmware of a Dell PowerEdge T20 through official means, but at least fixes the security issues in the Management Engine and updates it to the latest version (I wish I would be able to just extract the bin file from the Dell firmware it self, but seems impossible unfortunately).
DISCLAIMER: For flashing the BIOS I've made use of software from the third party site, specified in Step 2. I do not take any responsibility for damages caused by flashing any firmware. Flash the firmware at your own risk!
1. Make sure your BIOS Rev. is on A16.
2. Visit: https://www.win-raid.com/t596f39-Intel-Management-Engine-Drivers-Firmware-amp-System-Tools.html
3. Download the following items below from the website and extract the RAR files somewhere.
- Intel ME 9.1 5MB Firmware v9.1.43.3004
- Intel ME System Tools v9.1 r5 - (2018-03-30)
4. Start a command prompt as Administrator, navigate to the folder you created above run MeInfoWin64 and copye the the OEMID in a notepad.
5. Copy the .bin file (found in the firmware package) to the MeUpdate\Local-Win64 folder.
6. Navigate to the FWUpdate\Local-Win64 folder.
7. Start the firmware update using the FWUpdLcl64 -f filename.bin -OEMID oem-number (Replace the filename.bin with the actual filename and oem-number with the actual OEM number written down in the notepad)
8. Wait until the proces finishes and reboot the machine
9. Verify by pressing F12 during bootup and entering the Intel MEBx Utility in the menu.

nvaert1986 you are the man!
Thanks for your workaround which worked like a charm!
Just a little typo in point 5.
The folder MeUpdate is actually FWUpdate as stated in point 6.
Thanks a thousand times!!!
