PowerEdge support windows server 2012.
Hi,
I've got a PE2950 and PE2850 servers. I'm planning to upgrade my OS from Windows 2003 to windows server 2012. my question is..does this servers support windows server 2012? if yes, which version?

2012 is supported on the 2950 but not the 2850. Before upgrading you should also check compatibility of all hardware in or attached to the server, and also check compatibility of any software being used. Ideally you would want to perform this upgrade on a test system before upgrading your production environment.

The 2950 will run 2012 and 2012 R2. The 2850 will run 2012 just fine, but not 2012 R2.

Hi,
according to the OS support matrix only support windows server 2012 not 2012 R2? is this correct?

2012 and 2012 R2 will run just fine on a 2950. Only 2012 will run on a 28x0.
