Poweredge 2400 Motherboard

I bought a PowerEdge 2400 motherboard on eBay some months ago, with the intention that this would replace my home server.  I am currently using a cobbled clone Adaptec AHA2940UW with four various brands and sizes SCSI drives, with NetWare 5.1 (10 Users). DS/N: GB-0330NK-156-DKUE:C/0 GB Rev A08

Dell could only tell me it was a PE2400 from the serial number, but they couldn't determine the Service Tag.  The seller refused to sell the case an/or supply the service tag??  Suspicious, yes?

So I really don't know where to start.  I tried finding a case and have had no luck finding anything big enough to contain it, approximately; 12 1/2" x 14 1/2".

Does anyone have a supplier who can get me started?  Can I purchase parts from Dell?  Can I afford them?

I think the Raid key slot is missing a peg or damaged, so I will have to do something else for raid controller.

I do have 3 18GB hot plug hard drives.

I also have two slot one 933 Coppermine processors, are they compatible?

Hey

I won't be any help here, mine take up 6ru.    But my really important question is how many RAM slots does it have.  And does it max out at 2GIGS pc133

Thanks

Greg

Meatplow:

Yes indeed it does have four slots only.  According to the specs for the PE2400:

Memory
DIMM sockets four 168-pin sockets
DIMM capacities 64-, 128-, 256-, or 512-MB registered SDRAM DIMMs; must be certified for 133-MHz operation
Minimum RAM 64 MB
Maximum RAM 2 GB (using 512-MB DIMMs)
External cache none
