Poweredge 2600 STOP c000021a Unknown Hard Error

Please could anyone help me?

I am trying to install Windows 2000 Server (tried Windows 2003 server too !!!) and I receive the error message:

STOP c000021a Unknown Hard Error

when trying to install either of the operating systems.  I have confirmed that the BIOS, ESM and Perc 4/Di firmware are ALL up-to-date.  This server is brand new so can anyone give me some pointers as to what can be wrong with it?

This is an old post - but I will answer it anyway.  Problem is with MS. Go to their tech web site and type in the error.  The fix is one of three that come up on the keyword search.

Thanks for the reply ... it was actually the cable connecting the mainboard to the Tape Drive - that was after replacing the motherboard, both cpus, memory, raid key ....
