Poweredge 2850 + PERC 4E/DI + System Hang

I have two poweredge 2850 servers with perc 4e/di raid controllers.  Both are exibiting the same problem.  They are both running Server 2003 with all the latest firmware and drivers on the systems.  They are randomly hanging with no apparent errors in any of the event or system logs.  When it happens the system becomes totally unresponsive and you are unable to shutdown.  The only option is to power down hard.  All hard drive activity stops completely.  I have run all of the dell diag programs and they find nothing wrong.  I have many other poweredge servers that are all running fine.  The only common factor is they are both 2850's and have the same raid controller.  Anyone seen anything like this?

What your describing sounds like a memory leak. Something is leaking until the system runs out of available system memory and hangs. These are some of the hardest issues to troubleshoot. Try disabling all non-microsoft services and see if that makes a difference, after you do that you could enable one at a time till it fails again.

You also could try using Process explorer from MS it tends to show what is using memory very well.  http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/ProcessExplorer.mspx

Hope that helps!
