Poweredge R610 Legacy BIOS USB support ; contents of USB drive being ignored (works with UEFI mode)

My R610 can 'see' the USB stick (regardless of which ports it is plugged into), however if I am in BIOS boot mode, even if I select to boot from the stick manually, it does nothing and carries onto Windows.

If I switch to UEFI boot mode, the USB stick contents are loaded.

This is problematic for me because my RAID array/current Windows Server installation was via Legacy BIOS not UEFI. I need to do some repairs using the Window Server image, but of course cannot because it won't boot.

Is there a setting I've missed?

Thanks

Hello

Make sure that the USB device is formatted as FAT32. I don't think it can read anything other than FAT16 or FAT32 in BIOS boot mode.

Thanks

ok Daniel, I will try that.

I couldn't imagine that my Windows Server image was put on a USB that was FAT32, but if that's what it takes I will give it a whirl.
