Poweredge m1000e Front control panel swap.

Hi Dell community,

I have recently acquired a replacement front panel for  Poweredge m1000e chassis.

What bothers me is:

Is this module hot-swapable?

Is it necessary to disassemble the entire chassis in order to replace it?

are there any guides or documentation on replacing it?

The main reason i'm replacing it is because the mini LCD and the controls stopped working.

(servers are working fine though).

The component has 2 usb ports,VGA port, power button and is also connected to the mini LCD display.(internally).

Andrija95aki,

Unfortunately the Control Panel is not a hot swappable part. You will actually have to remove the Blades, the blade blanks, the LCD, the front bezel, and the screws to replace the control panel

This is due to the need to have access to the screws, as well as cable access.

Hope this helps.
