R610 8 modules 16 GB speed question
Hi all,
I have 8 identical modules of KTD-PE313LV (16GB, 1333MHz) memory installed in A1,A2,A4,A5 and B1,B2,B4,B5. But instead of 1333, memory works at 1066. Can someone please help me with configuration? My dmidecode can be found here.
Also, a side question: how much of an improvement R810 is over R610? Is it louder?
Thank you kindly

Hello
You can locate the memory guidelines in the manual on the system support page. Memory ranks, number of modules populated, and other factors will affect the maximum speed the memory will operate.
http://www.dell.com/support/
The main difference between server classifications within a generation is maximum supported specifications. As you go to a higher model server it should support more CPUs, memory, or other hardware. It is possible for a lower model server to perform better than a higher model server if the higher model server is not populated with higher end components or more components.
Thanks

Hi,
I take a look at the manual, but frankly - it is not clear to me. I tried few combinations but none of them resulted in 1333. Only thing left is to buy 4 more modules of the same memory and fill in the rest of the banks. Also, I played with BIOS a bit but no results. Is it possible that no one has entered the same problem?
Thank you.
Best regards
