Hi,

There is no specified generic model number for R610. Let me know if I'm getting your question incorrectly.

Here the technical guide: https://dell.to/3u45dcY

In case if you need the Dell PN#, it would be 8GXHX

I am planning to upgrade my server's processors, but I have seen online that there are different generations of poweredge r610 motherboards compatible with different processors, so I want to be sure which motherboard I have before I purchase new processors. How can I found out what my motherboard is?

Hi,

There are a couple of ways, ultimately having the main board part number would tell the version. I can suggest you to go to our support site: https://dell.to/32WPYGJ. Enter the service tag of your server, and at the side column option, view product specs. Locate the mainboard category and drop down the subject line, you should be able to view the version of the mainboard through description.
