R630 - IDRAC8 FW 2.70.70.70 - HWinventory xml format error via racadm
1. When I upgraded the IDRAC8 to FW 2.70.70.70 & export inventory as "racadm hwinventory export -f 27QCR42_inventory.xml -l 192.168.x.1:/home/data" command
=> Result

2. I exported hw inventory from GUI and the result as below:

Can anyone help me explain this?

iDRAC8 2.70.70.70 introduced a new encoding standard for the hwinventory export operation through racadm. The new encoding was a fix for an issue that impacted previous releases of iDRAC8 firmware. In older firmware versions, an invalid ASCII character would cause the opensource XML parser to fail. The failure would lead to an export of an empty file.

After further review of this change, code modifications will be made to upcoming iDRAC8 firmware webpost that will remove the encoding headers that caused a mismatch in encoding. iDRAC8 2.75.75.75 is planned to release mid-summer.
