R630 Unable to connect to internet
Hi,
Recently purchased Poweredge R630 from craigslist, and I cannot get the Nic adapters to work.
I can't install Powerassist to the server, because it has no internet access.
I have manually updated the Nic drivers.
I've tried dynamic, and static ip configurations, and have several dns addresses. I've reset the bios as well.
I've done all of the basic troubleshooting available on the Dell website, as well as called support, but the warranty did expire.
I'm not sure what I haven't done, and i'm a bit stuck at the moment.

Gortizlarrauri,
I would start with verifying the functionality of the NIC. I would first run diagnostics, as described on page 159 here. I would also try to exclude possible network issue with directly connecting the R630 NIC to a laptop/desktop NIC and then try to ping it. If you can ping it, it likely isn't the hardware, and is a configuration issue. Lastly, in the BIOS under Integrated Device, what does it show for the Embedded NICS?
Let me know what you see.
