SC1425 bios A02 -> A03

Hi everybody,

I'm desperately trying to get a grip on how to change the firmware of my PowerEdge SC1425 server from A02 to A03.
The official documentation speaks about a "FLOPPY" disk or an executable file. I find the floppy option quite ridiculous nowadays but I can't get to install this update even with Freedos!

How did you managed it?

Best regards.

[SOLVED] I came across this link: http://goo.gl/RBQq3
which goes to the necessary instructions to create a MS-DOS LIVE CD (I couldn't even managed it may exists). Following the tutorial I was able to update my machine!

Floppy disks were still SOP 8 years ago :)

There are other formats that can be used in linux or Windows (not sure if the 'non-packaged' version will run in FreeDOS or not):

I've tried using the non-packaged EXE version under Freedos but the application exits giving some error codes... :emotion-6:
Moreover, I've got a perfectly functioning Ubuntu Server installation on that server and I don't think I'll switch to RedHat.
