SC440 processor and RAM upgrade ?

Hello, i would like to know if it's possible to do that with the Poweredge SC440

(which currently has 1Gb of RAM and a pentium E2180 )

- upgrade it with what type of RAM (and how many unit of which maximum size? e.g 2 unit of 1Gb or 2Gb or 4Gb,  or maybe 4 units?)

- upgrade it with an intel VT enable Cpu ?

- upgrade it with a quad core intel cpu ?

i'm thinking about some sort of DDR2 for RAM , but i dont know which type of DDR2 to choose.

i'm thinking about 775 type quad core CPU but i dont know if they will be compatible (like for example Q6600 or Q9300)

Thank you

As it supported the Core2 architecture (your E2180), a Q6600 should work just fine too, and it gives you VT for a very reasonable price.

For guaranteed compatible memory, you could check here.

Between a Q6600 and that Crucial 2 x 1GB kit for $58, you could have a nice upgrade for about US$ 255.
