The current Memory configuration is not Optimal
I have 16GBx8 & 8GBx24 based on the technical guide of:
#CPU | Total Memory (GB) | Capacity if Rank Sparing | Capacity if Mirrored | DIMM size (GB) | DIMMs DIMM Speed |
2P+2FMB /4P | 320 | 256 | N/A | 16G/8G | 1066 |
I installed in Slot A1/A2 16GB and the rest 8GB. Same with B, C, and D slots. However, when booting the server it sees the 320GB but gives an error that it is not optimal. I also upgraded my Bios to version 2.7.4 (the latest) and still having this issue.
Any ideas?

Hi there,
According to the information I have, in order to have 320GB of memory installed in your R810, you need 16x16GB and 8x8GB and these need to be installed in the following order:
16GB: A1, A2, A3, A4, B1, B2, B3, B4, C1, C2, C3, C4, D1, D2, D3, D4
8GB: A5, A6, B5, B6, C5, C6, D5, D6
The problem you have is that you'll need another 8x16GB sticks in order to get the configuration you require. Was the memory purchased from a third-party, if you don't mind me asking?
