Hello
What CD/DVD is this? Was the other system you tested an R730 set to EFI boot mode? If it is failing to hand off to the CD/DVD then it is not locating a valid EFI boot file to hand off to. I would suggest trying another CD/DVD.
Thanks

Set the USB mode to 2.0
USB 3 causes a lot of issues with OS installation, but it shouldn't affect the handoff to the boot loader. It can affect the function of a USB optical drive though.
If you still have issues then set the system back to BIOS mode and see if it boots successfully in that mode.
Thanks
