dell poweredge r610 No Display
Hi there everyone,
I just got a dell poweredge r610, powered it on and for some reason the display on my VGA monitor is not displaying anything. Would anyone know why this might be happening?

With a no video situation, I would suggest taking the server to its Minimum to Post configuration. That is removing everything but ;
One power supply
CPU1 (minimum for troubleshooting)
System board
Heat sink for CPU1 for prevention of overheating
One DIMM for CPU 1
Control panel
Control-panel cable
Riser card
When removing everything else, please verify each of the above listed devices are secure. This is due to the listed parts being required for the server to operate.
If the server Posts, and is displaying video after this, then power down and start individually adding the removed parts back to the server. When the server has an issue, then you will know which part is causing the issue.
Let me know what you find.

I have had a similar issue I have 3 r610s, all of them would not work with one monitor for some reason whether it's the refresh rate of the monitor or the resolution. I tried another monitor I had laying around and older one and they all work fine. Give it a try
