r630 network links down after os upgrade
Not sure if this is a huge coincidence, or somthing more. ive just upgraded the os on a r630 in a datacentre to 2012r2. The 2 network ports where both fine. However after a reboot, both are showing in the os as "network cable unplugged" and in the idrac both as down. I can connect via the idrac perfectly, so that link is fine.
Ill have to get someone to physically check in the dc, but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions other than this being a huge coincidence, as it definitly does have network cables connected.

Hi,
That's 1 unlikely to happen after an OS upgrade, unless, it's pure coincidence faulty. Link status is down in iDRAC, could just mean the network cable is lose, or unplugged. Do you have access to the network switch to check if the ports are disabled? Best to check with a good known cable with working port in the switch if possible, when the person is in the DC. Let us know if the server network port LED status too.
