Arcserve and Novell Debug
I have ArcServe 9.01 installed on a new NetWare 6.0 (SP3) server I am implementing. When arcserve loads it goes through CANWPABD. However after that it does another PFC.NLM where it shows "1 host adapter(s) found". But never gets to the valid job queuu and queue user... It will sit there for a good 2-3 minutes then goes to the Novell Debug screen on its own. When I do the "?" to see it shows:
Address in PEDGE3.HAM at code start +000065D4h
Previous: -000000C4 D0A8B510 PEDGE3.HAM|getHACBAndDeviceStatus
Current: 00000000 D0A85D4
Next: +000000FC D0AB6D0 PEDGE3.HAM|convertEnquiryToEnquiry3
I have 9.01 installed on a Compaq Server running NetWare 6.0 (SP3) using the same Dell tape drive without any problems.
Due to it showing the PEDGE3.HAM in debug, I am thinking it is something with the PERC system. However I have updated the drivers to the latest available on the download pages.
Any ideas?

Did you also upgraded the firmware of the Perc controller?

We have similar problem on all our Poweredge 2600 servers since upgrade to BIOS version A09.
During backup (Arcserve-Brightstore 9) , servers are turning into debug mode . This happens at least once a week.
OS used : Netware 6 SP2.
There were no similar problems before the upgrade.

I figured what my problem was. For some reason I had older versions of tsa600.nlm, tsands.nlm, and smdr.nlm. Not sure how it happend since I had loaded (I thought) the most recent versions of those files. There were a coupIe of files that were corrupt in BE. So I ended up doing a dsrepair on the local database, reloaded backup exec, downloaded tsa5up13.exe from novell's site (this file contains the most recent versions of the files) and applied. Now backup works just fine.
