Automated System Recovery (ASR)
I'm restoring (or trying to restore) my system with MS Server 2003 Automated System Recovery (ASR) and I get to the point where Windows is going to load the tape, and it keeps asking for the tape -- even though the tape is loaded.
I've verified the tape previously, that's not the problem. I think the problem is with the PowerVault SCSI drivers. This PowerVault DLT is the device that has to be deleted and then re-installed using the drivers from the CD. Well, that process won't work with the Automated System Recovery (ASR). I think I need to get the PowerVault drivers loaded with the SCSI drivers during setup. That's the option, then "S" to specify more SCSI drivers.
I tried taking the drivers from the PowerVault CD and putting them on a floppy, but Setup wants a "txtsetup.oem" file.
Can anybody out there help me? How are other people handling backup and recovery issues?
