Can I run Windows XP on my PowerEdge 1750?

Hi,

I'd like to run Windows XP Professional, or 64 bit edition on my PowerEdge 1750.  There are some software applications that I'd like to use but will not run on Windows 2003 or Windows 2000.  Please let me know if this is possible.  I ran it once, using my MSDN cd, but it crashed and was not stable.

The Dell answer is no - only server OSs are supported.  It is possible to get XP to load.  You will have to get the driver for the Perc that you are using from LSI.  You are probably using a Perc4/Di - check out www.lsilogic.com and look for drivers for the megaraid 320-2...
