Debian sarge sc420 iso
I just purchased sc420 and wish to install debian sarge but it does not pick up scsi.I downloaded images from debian.org but still no joy.Am still a novice at Linux. Any help would be much appreciated.

Same here. It would appear that Debian is not "sata friendly". I have found the Red Hat variants (including CentOS, Whitebox, and Startcom) to work picture-perfect with the sc420.

That should get you going as well as load the tg3 drivers for the Broadcom Network adapter.
If your install still doesn't see it, drop to command prompt and type "modprobe ata_piix".
