Hi Robert,
The only way to setup the utility partition is using the Dell Server Assistant CD which came with the PowerEdge 2200.
The Utility Partition would be invalid for the PowerEdge 2200 now anyway, the CD would only load the drivers, firmware and diagnostics which were current at the time of manufacture. These would all be out of date today.
Latest PowerEdge 2200 System Files and Configuration Utilities:
***Specifications:
***Diagnostic Utilities:

Filename: PE22_A07.EXE (627 KB)
***EISA System Configuration Utility

The reason I was asking is because I wanted to try and setup the new utilities on the partition.
I am currently attempting to run them from the diskette and it takes extreamly long, I wanted to put it on the partition to try and speed it up.
Is there any place I can get the old utilities or a set of instrustions on how I can manually setup the new ones there. There must be somewhere that give the specs for what the F10 key is looking for.

I could not find any documentation on updating the Utility Partition. Unfortunately the Server Assistant is no longer available which would support the PowerEdge 2200.

Mark,
I managed to get my hands on a version 2.0.1 Server Assistant CD and have created the Utility Partitions on both my PE 2200 servers.
My question now is that there is a menu item to update the CFG files from a floppy. I'd like to do this, but both downloads I have tried (Eisa_d08.exe and Eisa_lib.exe) create diskettes with CFG files on them, but the program will not accept them as valid sources of CFG files.
Would you please tell me the correct file to download to create a diskette that has the ability to update the CFG files on the F10 Utility Partition?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Greg,
The only other file I know of which has .cfg files on it is:
ISA configuration library files for EISA Config
File Name: ISACFG.ZIP
Note: The only time you will need the .cfg files is if you are installing an EISA or an ISA card. Both of these are nearly extinct in today's world.
Thanks for using the Dell Community Forums!
